I would rate this as VERY GOOD! I had a great afternoon yesterday drawing a portrait in Violet's Portrait Drawing Meetup. She was so encouraging and allowed each of us to use our talents to accomplish our drawings, while offering suggestions where we could improve when we were struggling in certain areas. I highly recommend this for anyone, especially if you are a beginner. I look forward to participating in this meetup again soon.

Mixed Media on watercolor paper (12?x12?)Created from my home studio overlooking a small lake just outside Memphis, Tennessee, ?The Ghost? was inspired by the quiet, unforgettable presence of a white egret that regularly visits the shoreline near my porch. Over time, the bird began to feel less like wildlife and more like a performer arriving on cue ? graceful, mysterious, and cinematic in its presence.Part of my ongoing series, ?The Aviary Sessions,? the piece connects bird behavior wit

Bees have always fascinated me. The way they communicate with each other, thrive together in community, and work hard. They are small and most of the time go unnoticed. Yet without them, we would all perish. This little guy was photographed by Pete Wetton, who permitted me to paint his photo.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
